The Unceremonious Removal of Akal Takht Jathedar or Practice Followed

Giani Joginder Singh, former Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht, the highest temporal seat of Sikhs after the resignation may take drastic step vocally to disclose the reality about the issues made him to resign unceremoniously or practice followed as usual in appointment of Giani Gurbachan Singh as Jathedar on August 5, 2008, Tuesday by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbhandak Committee (SGPC).

The stories are floating that Giani Joginder Singh was under pressure to do this or to do that from main ruling party at Centre and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD)   chief and Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal finally not finding him trustworthy asked him to resign.

However, it had been presumed since long, the Jathedars and their advisers/associates were allowed to collect huge amount disproportionately by different means beyond their lawful sources of income and were always busy so forgetting their status as Jathedars of Sri Akal Takht, the highest temporal seat of Sikhs. Due to their illegality and guilt, they never dared to open their mouth and preferred to be silent.

Could Giani Joginder Singh, former Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht prove differently yet answer is to come from him?

PS:

Are they aggrieved today who were asking Giani Joginder Singh’s (Vedanti) resignation leveling uncounted allegations so far?  If yes then Why? Have they ever appreciated Dr. Manmohan Singh as Prime Minister of India? God may help them. Balbir Singh Sooch, Aug 6, 2008 7:35 AM www.sikhvicharmanch.com

Respect Cyber Fellows Globally,

With due respect to all, Email receivers are not going to resolve such issues, being scattered all over the world. Sikhs in India could only bring some improvement in the management of SGPC, SAD and other Organizations.

Perhaps to begin with, CBI and Income Tax Commissioners should be requested to look into their assets, which these persons have acquired during their Free Seva??

There is always talk of the town that a lot of wealth has been collected without providing any accountability i.e. by Bhai Jasbir Singh Rode, Prof. Manjit Singh, Bhai Ranjit Singh, Giani Puran Singh, Giani Iqbal Singh, Giani Joginder Singh Vedanti and various socalled sant-babas.

Subject to the completion of investigation, their Passports should be impounded by the Government and they should not be allowed to visit any foreign country.

Other Granthis, Raagis, Head Ministers, SGPC / DSGMC / other Boards Officials should also be requested to declare their assets through Daily Press. Similarly, every month Goluck and other Collections need to be notified to the Sikhs so that they know where Guru Kee Goluck is utilised.

Thanks,
Gurmit Singh (Sydney - Australia)
