Nanak’s Question Ever Be Answered?
As to How I Understood God and His Will!

There is but one God 

Meaning:  (The Truth and God’s form beyond defining and It looks one and the same thing) 

True His Name creative His personality and immortal His form. He is without fear, sans enmity, unborn and self-illumined. By the Guru’s grace, (He is obtained). 

Meaning:  (He could be obtained (the knowledge about the Truth and God’s form be obtained) by following the teachings of Sri Guru Granth Sahib) 

Embrace His meditation.

Meaning:  (Be close to Him (The Truth and God’s form) in thought and in actions always and the meaning thereby always accept Him the supreme authority)

True in the prime, True in the beginning of ages, True He is even now and True He, verily, shall be, O Nanak!

Meaning:  (Empathized doubtlessly, He (The Truth and God’s form) shall remain True (supreme) forever) 

By pondering, man cannot have a conception of God, even though he may ponder over lacs of time. (Man cannot know about His (The Truth and God’s form) origin).

Even though one be silent and remain absorbed constantly he obtains not mind’s silence.

Meaning:  (No-one can ever have perfectly and completely the silence of mind i.e. peace of mind) 

The hunger of the hungry departs not, even though he may pile up loads of the worlds (valuables). 

Meaning:  (The hunger of hungry never dies, thereby he is meant for the same purpose and it is again linked to, though beyond defining, ‘The Truth and God’s form’) 

Man may possess thousands and lacs of wits, not even one goes with (him) or (avails him in the Lord’s court).  

Meaning:  (Man cannot know what is there for him in His store i.e. Lord’s court as he does not know the definition of ‘The Truth and God’s form’) 

How can we be true and how can the screen of untruth be rent? By obeying, O Nanak! The pre-ordained order of the Lord of will. (By following the teachings of Sri Guru Granth Sahib) 

Meaning: (The solution lies within the un-conditional surrender to the will (supremacy) of ‘The Truth and God’s form’, though beyond defining, leaving attachment to all worldly desires and thoughts.)

ਕੀ ਹੋਇਆ?

ਕੀ ਹੋਇਆ?

 ਆ ਜਾ ਰਜਾ ‘ਚ

ਨਾ ਵਧਾ ਉਮੀਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ

ਸਮਝਾ ਤਾਂ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ

ਪਿਓ ਮੇਰਾ

ਸਮਝ ਤਾਂ ਸੀ ਉਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਆਉਣੀ

ਜਦੋਂ ਰਜਾ ਸੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਹੋਣੀ

ਕੀ ਹੋਇਆ?

ਦੁੱਖ-ਸੁੱਖ, ਰੋਣਾ-ਧੋਣਾ

ਬੀਤ ਗਿਆ ਸਭ ਰਜਾ ‘ਚ

ਗਿਆਨ ਤਾਂ ਹੋਣਾ ਹੀ ਕੀ ਸੀ?

 ਕਲਮ ਹਾਂ ਚਲਾਈ ਜਾਂਦਾ

ਸਮਝ ਤਾਂ ਹੈ ਉਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਆਉਣੀ

ਜਦੋਂ ਰਜਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਹੋਣੀ

ਕੀ ਹੋਇਆ?

  ਨਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਚੁੱਪ

  ਨਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੀਨ

ਨਾ ਹੀ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ

ਗਿਆਨ ਤਾਂ ਹੋਣਾ ਹੀ ਸੀ ਕੀ?

ਸਮਝ ਤਾਂ ਹੈ ਉਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਆਉਣੀ

ਜਦੋਂ ਰਜਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਹੋਣੀ

ਕੀ ਹੋਇਆ?

ਮੇਰੇ ਲਾਲਚ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ ਨਹੀਂ

ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਘਾਟ ਹੈ

ਅਕਲ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਆ ਰਹੀ

ਗਿਆਨ ਤਾਂ ਹੋਣਾ ਹੀ ਸੀ ਕੀ?

ਸਮਝ ਤਾਂ ਹੈ ਉਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਆਉਣੀ

ਜਦੋਂ ਰਜਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਹੋਣੀ

ਕੀ ਹੋਇਆ?

ਉਸ ਦੀ ਰਜਾ ‘ਚੋਂ

ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਮੰਗ-ਮੰਗ ਕੇ

ਤੰਗ ਆ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ

ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਰਜਾ ਕੀ ਹੈ?

ਸਮਝ ਤਾਂ ਹੈ ਉਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਆਉਣੀ

ਜਦੋਂ ਰਜਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਹੋਣੀ

ਕੀ ਹੋਇਆ?

 ਹੋਣਾ ਹੀ ਕੀ ਸੀ?

ਉਹੀ ਹੋਇਆ

ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਰਜਾ ‘ਚ ਸੀ

ਕਬੂਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਣਾ

ਸਮਝ ਤਾਂ ਹੈ ਉਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਆਉਣੀ

ਜਦੋਂ ਰਜਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਹੋਣੀ

ਹੈ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ

ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਹੀ ਹੈ

 ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ

ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਵੇ ਦੁੱਖ

ਜਦੋਂ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਵੇ ਮਾਰੂ

ਖਹਿ  ਤੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ

ਖੇਡ ‘ਚ ਵੀ ਹੈ 

ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਤੇ ਖਹਿ

ਮਾਰੂ ਖੇਡ ਹੀ ਜੇ  ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਵੇ!

ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਵੇ ਦੁੱਖ

ਮਾਰੂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਤੇ ਖਹਿ

ਇਨਸਾਨ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ

ਮਾਰੂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਤੇ ਖਹਿ

ਖੇਡ ‘ਚ ਵੀ ਹੈ 

  ਇਨਸਾਨੀਅਤ ਘੱਟ

ਹਵਾਨੀਅਤ ਵਧ ਦੇਖੀ ਹੈ

ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਤੇ ਖਹਿ

ਜੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਮੁੱਕ ਵੀ ਜਾਵੇ

ਇਸ ਦੀ ਹਵਾਨੀਅਤ

ਆਪਣਿਆ ਨਾਲ ਸਦਾ ਦੇਖੀ ਹੈ

ਇਨਸਾਨ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ

ਮਾਰੂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਤੇ ਖਹਿ

ਜੋ ਘੱਟ ਹੀ ਦੇਖੀ ਹੈ

ਕਿਉਂ ਹੈ ਇਹ ?

ਹੈ ਬਾਝੋਂ ਅਮਲਾਂ 

ਫਿਰ ਕੀ ਹੈ ਹੱਲ ?

ਨਾਨਕ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਸਮਝਾ

ਹੁਕਮ ਰਜਾਈ ਚੱਲਣਾ

ਨਾਨਕ ਲਿਖ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਨਾਲ

  ਸਮਝ ਤਾਂ ਉਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਆਉਣੀ

ਜਦੋਂ ਮੇਹਰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਹੈ ਹੋਣੀ

ਨਾ ਫਿਰ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ  

ਨਾ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਖਹਿ ਰਹਿਣੀ
