Sixth Pay Commission Report Delaying and
Leaking Un-Confirmed Reports

By Balbir Singh Sooch, Ludhiana

Are the leaking reports of sixth pay commission almos

t daily beneficial in any manner for assessing the mood of salaried persons including defence forces and ex-servicemen or raising their expectations and vice versa ultimately to frustrate or there is something else in store for  them?

Like case of N-deal, the government of India at the last moment would be in action and active to satisfy all in the expectations overstretched to have their due after a long wait. They may be overjoyed after getting the desired salary /pension etc or further frustrated having less than expectations.

Is there no remedy in sight to shorten their period of suspense and nightmare by giving sixth pay commission report on time without any further delay satisfying all concerned?

Or UPA government is not bothered about the opinion of salaried persons including defence forces and ex-servicemen anticipating the defeat of UPA especially congress in the coming Lok Sabha Elections-2008-09.

Would that be the net result to become history of the suspense, nightmare and expectations for all of us?

Pay and allowances etc of Members of Parliament in India and as to how quickly it was always raised must be kept in mind by the Sixth Pay Commission and the treatment meted out to Salaried Persons including Defence Forces and Pensioners so far and always testing their patience.
