Welcome to the Sikh Vichar Manch-Thought Provoking Forum for Justice

Shaheed Bhagat Singh and Udham Singh’s
statues do not look like them

It is welcome step to install the statue of Shaheed Bhagat Singh with turban on though he is being projected differently ideologically but any how he would always inspire the young generations being from a patriotic Sikh family. However, it is unfortunate that Bhagat Singh’s face looked much older in the statue as rightly objected by Bhagat Singh’s family members claimed that his statue in the Parliament House does not look like him.

Similar was the case and the objection raised regarding the statue of 12.4-ft bronze of Shaheed Udham Singh was installed after long wait on 31 July 2008 in Sunam (Sangrur) at a chowk near the railway.

Is there any thoughtful plan to deface the heroes of the nation and give them only an idol look for worshipping them like an ancient practice and habit (IDOL WORSHIPPING) by the people of the majority dominating in this country or it is a pointer to the incompetence of the respective governments?

The historians may also have no answer to it
