IS IN GROSS VIOLATION OF THE ACT
Ms Sonia Gandhi, the Congress President has felt that the Government
should have given adequate thought to the matter at the time of
legislating the ‘Right to Information Act’ and to bring soon after
that law was enacted sends the wrong signal.
WHAT CAN BE THE WRONG SIGNAL?
As has been the criticism that the proposed amendment to the Act
under the pressure of corrupt and undemocratic forces, shall be
amount to again changing the true meaning and definition of
democracy i.e. ‘democracy of the people, for the people and by the
people’ to ‘the democracy of the corrupt, for the corrupt and by the
corrupt’ in India.

adverse to the reputation of India and its main functionaries.
It is rightly said that corruption can only be detected in file
notings -- records of the government's decision-making process.
Without them, it will never be revealed who took the decision and on
