Akalis Requested to Bring Sikhs Out of the
Communal Net
By Balbir Singh Sooch, Advocate, Ludhiana
The Sikhs policy
before independence remained that the Sikhs always took up an
independent attitude, not to oppose nationalism, but to see that
communalism did not succeed, at least at the expense of Sikhs.
In
view of this, “the Akalis made a rapprochement between them and
Congress, which promises to be truly national and non- communal.
With this view they began their history, and for this view they
have been fighting all along.
Sikhs history of nationalism in the declaration of Guru Nanak is
as under:
“All people are under one sovereign (God),
Who holds them responsible for their actions,
Only fools and idiots try to rule over other.”
The
extract from a booklet, “SIKHS AS LIBERATORS” published by
Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee,
Amritsar (Printed in 2 editions 9000 up to March 1962; 3rd
Edition June 1968).
I personally
handed over the photo copy of the booklet 11-12 years ago to Sardar
Parkash Singh Badal though in different context at Old District
Courts,
Ludhiana.
But
to change the policy with the help of secretly planted
leadership and trained in the manner that was/is not expected
without deal,
created the circumstances to use the policy contrary to basic
tenets of Sikh Religion keeping the innocent Sikh leadership and
Sikh masses in dark for the purpose kept them divided in
different camps/groups to level them communal and lawless in
order to teach them a lesson to weaken them permanently as is
their history now in independent India.
In the present
scenario and the changed circumstances, the Akalis and their
Members of Parliament should not follow the divisive policy or
any communal party to the advantage of any such secretly
planted leadership and trained for the disadvantage of Sikhs.
May
I also request to the Akalis by name like the Chief Minister
Parkash Singh Badal, Sukhbir ji, Captain Kanwaljit Singh and
others to bring Sikhs out of planned and so leveled communal
net to safeguard them and their future generations in
India. It is open secret that your personal,
social and political contacts and relations always remained very
cordial with the Congress party, known as main one of the
secular parties even in face of the injustice with Sikhs in
India.
Attention Please: Akali Members of Parliament and others
concerned for necessary action.
